GPS Tracking Software - What is the reason to code these apps? Read the history here.

The Global Positioning System (GPS), which relies on a network of satellites surrounding Earth, enables precise location recognition. Nearly every older smartphone is equipped with GPS signal receiver sensors. So why not harness these capabilities to create a GPS tracking device using those old smartphones? There are several interesting applications, and it’s surprisingly straightforward to handle with mobile devices.
The impetus behind our GPS applications and this website was a tragic incident involving a lost German mountaineer. In September 2022, he accidentally slipped several hundred meters down Mount Hochkalter (2,607 meters) near the village of Ramsau in the Alps, close to Berchtesgaden. Despite making two emergency phone calls to explain his dire situation and approximate location in the mountains, nobody could pinpoint his exact whereabouts or locate his mobile phone. Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions hindered rescue efforts. After four days, search teams found his backpack, but they were unable to locate him. The search was eventually suspended after six days due to severe weather. Tragically, he succumbed to the extreme cold, with temperatures plummeting to -15 degrees Celsius, and heavy snow. His body was discovered four weeks later, hundreds of meters below where his backpack was found.
Imagine if he had a simple application installed on his phone to send an SMS (Short Message Service) in that emergency situation. Considering he could make two phone calls, SMS sending would have been feasible.
To prevent such scenarios, consider installing the free application “GPS Position Sender” on your phone. It could make all the difference in critical moments!
Our first app has been developed and is available for free download. It is ad-free, making it a seamless experience for GPS tracking and SOS position sending.
